In the past few weeks, Bridger Hughes and his family have been fighting for his recovery in a Children’s hospital in Omaha.

Bridger is a five-year-old boy who was accidentally driven over by a car on June 5, suffering serious internal injuries. Bridger’s family faces financial struggles as his parents take time away from work and home to be by his side.

Bridger’s recovery is expected to be long and difficult. The costs of meals, housing, and medical expenses are extensive.

“The doctors and nurses are working tirelessly to help him heal, but his recovery will be a long and difficult journey,” Bridger’s grandmother Wendy Meyer said. “Any donation, prayer, or share is deeply appreciated.”

A spaghetti feed and a silent auction and fundraiser will be held from 3:30-7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the D&N Event Center. Donations to the auction are accepted at RJ Meyer & Associates at 106 S. Jeffers St. or Here. Donations are also accepted on Venmo.

The family appreciates support and donations so Bridger may receive the best care possible.
