Free tire disposal coming in mid-March

A free tire collection will be held for three days, March 19-21, courtesy of Keep North Platte Lincoln County Beautiful and the city of North Platte/ with support from the Nebraska Department of Water, Environment and Energy.

You will be able to bring tires to the North Platte transfer station located at 3320 W. North Lake Road near Lake Maloney. Tires will be accepted from Lincoln County and surrounding counties free of charge.

No rims will be accepted.

The maximum amount that can be collected is 250 tons. If that threshold is met before the three days are over, the event will close.

Commercial tire businesses will not be allowed to drop off at this event.
