More rain will fall overnight Sunday, mainly before 3 a.m. and it could be severe.
The National Weather Service said there is a 100% chance of rain in North Platte.
Some but not all storms through the area will contain large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain, the forecast says.
In the rest of the state, numerous strong to severe thunderstorms are likely across southwest Nebraska. The greatest potential for severe storms is south of the I-80 corridor, the weather service said Sunday afternoon.
Localized rain amounts could exceed 2 inches.
Meanwhile, the relative humidity will continue in the 70-90% range, where it has been through the weekend, the weather service said.
