In accordance with a proclamation from President Donald J. Trump, Gov. Pete Ricketts announced Sunday that all U.S. and Nebraska flags are to be flown at half-staff to honor U.S. Capitol Police Officers Brian D. Sicknick and Howard Liebengood, as well as all Capitol Police and law enforcement across the country.
Both Sicknick and Liebengood were on-duty on Jan. 6, the day that protestors entered the capitol building. Brian Sicknick, 42, was injured in the melee and died the next day. Howard Liebengood’s death on Saturday is being described as a suicide. He was 51 years old.
Flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Nothing but scorn for the woman who was executed by capital security.
She should have listened to the officers orders. 🤗
How about expressing some scorn for the person who beat a Capitol police officer to death. How about expressing some scorn for the man who dragged another police officer down steps and the people who then proceeded to beat him with poles attached to the US flag. These are the among the horrible people who participated in the insurrection at the Capitol. The police officer who shot a woman after she refused his order to stop trying to illegally enter the Capitol did not do anything wrong.
