Sen. Deb Fischer will be the featured speaker on Monday, Oct. 21, when the Lincoln County Republican Party hosts its monthly meeting.
the forum will be from 6-9 p.m. at the North Platte Eagles Club #2839, 620 N. Chestnut in North Platte. A social will begin at 6 p.m. and the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
Fischer will provide updates on proposed federal legislation that affects rural and urban Nebraskans, organizers say.
Also, Lincoln County Commissioner Chris Bruns will provide a report and update on the Nebraska International Port of the Plains, spokeswoman Michelle O’Dea said.
The meal includes lasagna, salad, and garlic bread. Donations are appreciated to help cover food costs.

So, as usual, Deb Fischer won’t have a town hall for everyone in Lincoln County, only the local Republican Party. Afraid of what the Democrats and Independents want to ask? What a surprise…
I’m a die hard conservative, however, that being said, until Deb explains how her net worth ballooned from 110k ( per her first financial disclosure upon being elected the first time), to north of 2 million$$….she has lost my vote. NO politician becomes that wealthy, that quick, without being “dirty”.
So Deb, please explain to us voters how exactly that worked for you.
What’s a little light insider trading amongst the DC elite? Just because she sits on the senate armed services committee (and now is in line to chair it) doesn’t automatically mean she has calls on defense contractor stocks to whom she’s steering contracts. . .
That stuff never happens which is why everybody in congress immediately pledged to vote for the PELOSI act. . . LOL, nobody gets elected to congress to make changes, except to their bank account.
Much like the Magna Carta, term limits and a ban on insider trading are two things that will have to be given to the government on the tip of a sword.
I will hold my nose and vote for her. Her opponent just doesn’t come across as honest and trustworthy.
If anyone is honest and trustworthy, it’s Dan Osborn. How can you say Deb Fischer is honest and trustworthy? Why just hold your nose and vote for her, Rusty? Why is she afraid to debate him? Her ads regarding Dan Osborn’s beliefs are truly shocking and untrue. No one believes that he supports abortion up to the 9th month. It just does not happen, ever. It’s the same rhetoric that the Republican candidate for president is claiming. If you want to hold your nose and vote for one of them, please consider Dan.

In this past week, we have learned Dan’s chief fundraiser is a hollywood, harris/timpon supporting leftist. His name also appeared on the hacked Ashley Madison names release. His Kelloggs strike folly backfired spectacularly. He makes bad decisions after bad decisions.
As much as I despise Deb, she is the safer bet.
