Extra charge to be assessed for grease tossed in city trash carts

Food vendors have been dumping grease into city-issued trash carts, city officials said Monday after food trucks were at several events around town during the weekend.

Those hosting a food truck at an event are asked to let the food operators know not to throw away grease in city trash carts.

The city will charge $15/cart if they have to clean a cart.
