As Easter approaches, FUR Animal Rescue urges you to take part in the ninth annual Get Egged FUR Paws event, offering families a fun way to celebrate Easter while supporting animal rescue efforts.

North Platte residents, including those in Hillcrest and Lake Maloney, can sign up to have their yard “egged” with candy and goody-filled eggs the night before Easter. Volunteers will deliver and hide the eggs beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, creating a ready-to-go Easter egg hunt for children on Easter morning, organizers said.

Eggs can be hidden around their front yard or delivered in a basket at the front door. Each order includes plastic eggs filled with candy, such as Skittles and Snickers, along with small goodies such as stickers and trinkets.

The cost is $20 per dozen, with proceeds benefiting FUR Animal Rescue and its mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in the community.

Donations are appreciated to help support the organization’s work.

To participate, complete the registration form online. A separate form must be submitted for each address to which eggs will be delivered.

Registration is available here.
