The North Platte St. Pat’s girls’ cross country team won the South Platte Valley Association meet Wednesday in Grant.

The Lady Irish were one of only three teams to have enough runners to score. Chase County was second and Bridgeport was third.

St. Pat’s had the top two finishers in Kate Stienike and Genna Blakely. Stienike won first place with a time of 19:53.82 and Blakely came in nearly a minute later at 20:52.38.

Hayley Miles also finished fifth and that helped the Irish hold off Chase County, who also had three top 10 finishes, for the conference crown.

Varsha Huebner led Hershey with an 11th place finish and Aspen Lenz led Sutherland at 15th.
