The North Platte High boys’ cross country team finished third at the Kearney Invitational on Friday.
The Bulldogs finished behind defending Class B champion Lexington and Grand Island.
NPHS had four finish in the top 12, led by Aiden Hawks in eighth place at 16:43.65. Clocking in a second behind him was teammate Luke Tegtmeier. Jack Knapp and Rian Teets also finished consecutively, at 11th and 12th.
The meet was won by Kaden Boltz of Grand Island with 16:01.78.
Girls
The North Platte Lady Bulldogs finished in fifth place at Kearney.
They were led by Jada Hothan, who finished in 11th place at 20:46.23. Lachelle Benitez wasn’t far behind in 13th.
Abby Burger of Kearney won at 18:31.97 to lead the Bearcats to a first place finish.

Next, the Bulldogs will compete at the McCook Invitational on Sept. 14.
