New board members were seated on Nov. 19 when the North Platte Catholic Schools Board of Education met for its monthly meeting.
The board expressed appreciation to outgoing members Connie Brittan and Scott Castillo, and seated newly elected voard members Stephan Budke and Dr. Kristin Lake.
And, the slate of officers was approved unanimously for the 2019-20 year:
• President – Hank Knisley
• Vice President – Cassie Condon
• Secretary – Kim Schroll
• Treasurer – Superintendent Kevin Dodson
The board discussed the results of a financial review conducted by the school’s accountant. No issues of concern were identified.
Endowment Director Wendy Dodson gave an update on the upcoming “Now is the Time” capital campaign to address pressing plumbing issues at St. Pat’s High. The campaign is set to launch in December.
Dodson discussed strategic planning for the school continuous improvement process. A meeting was set for Nov. 23. This is a part of the accreditation process through the Nebraska Department of Education.
The next board meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17 in St. Patrick’s High School library.
