Enrollment at North Platte Catholic Schools was discussed when the school board met Tuesday, Sept. 20 for its monthly meeting.

Supt. Kevin Dodson said that K-12 enrollment at the schools is currently 336 students, slightly lower than the 348 students of last year. In addition, the Little Leprechaun preschool has 65 students in four sections.

Dodson also said repairs were recently made to the sidewalks at St. Patrick High School to alleviate trip hazards on the north side of the building and more cement repairs may be done next summer.

Dodson noted that elections for the school board will be held at Holy Spirit and St. Patrick’s parishes during the first weekend of November. One member from each parish will be elected, with terms beginning in November.

Interested candidates may contact their parish priest or a current school board member to be placed on the ballot.

The next board meeting is scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in the St. Pat’s High School library.
