The Bow and Arrow boutiques in downtown North Platte and Kearney will close on March 21, owner Becky Forbes has announced.

The North Platte store opened six years ago, specializing in women’s clothing. The company’s anchor store has operated in Kearney for 10 years.

Forbes said it was a difficult decision to close, that retail has been quite a roller-coaster ride.

A liquidation sale will begin on Monday, Jan. 12.

“I can say that I truly found my passion, interacting with customers, buying and selling a product that Iove, being creative and working with some great and amazing people,” she said in the statement.

Merchandise, fixtures and décor will be on sale during the liquidation process. All sales will be final.

“Please visit us one last time to say goodbye and redeem an outstanding gift certificates,” Forbes said.

The number of the North Platte store is 308-252-1047.

It is the second store to close in North Platte in recent weeks. Buchheit Supply, a farm supply store on the east edge of the city, closed late last year after two years in business. Buchheit also closed its store in Beatrice at the same time.
