A benefit luncheon and fundraiser will be held for Craig Warneke from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15 at the Moose Lodge in North Platte.

Luncheon is $10 per plate, with pulled pork sandwiches, beans and chips.

Warneke, a North Platte native, suffered severe injuries in a car accident on May 1. He was treated and recovered at Bryan West in Lincoln.

Craig is back home now, but it’s been a long road to recovery. He and his family could use some help to defray some of his medical expenses, organizers say. The fundraiser includes a bake sale and silent auction. It is organized by the Army of Angels.

The Army of Angels quote Jessy and Bryon Matteo, who said, “Even the smallest act of caring for another person is like a drop of water. It will make ripples throughout the entire pond.”
