The Wallace girls’ basketball team rebounded from a loss to Arthur County on Friday by defeating Mullen on Saturday.
The Lady Wildcats (5-5) began the weekend with a 57-49 loss at home to Arthur County. The Wolves (5-3) outscored Wallace 16-8 in the second quarter to lead, 25-17, at halftime. That ended up being the difference in the game as Arthur County hung on.
Mariah Gardner led the Wildcats with 20 points.
On Saturday, Wallace went on the road to beat Mullen, 37-28. The Wildcats got off to a good start, leading 12-6 at the end of the first quarter and they held on from there to beat the Broncos (7-5).
Kendyl Flaming led Wallace with 14 points. Gardner and Karlie Finley followed with eight each.
Next, the Wildcats will host South Platte (7-2) on Jan. 13.
