The North Platte First National Bank of Omaha Legion baseball team dominated Lexington on Wednesday, taking a pair of road games 16-0 and 10-0.

North Platte (26-10) went up 3-0 in the first inning against Lexington in the first game.

Lexington pitcher Vinny Leibert kept the Nationals scoreless in the second and third innings. But North Platte started to get going again on offense with one run in the fourth. They added three more in the fifth before burying Lexington in the sixth with nine.

Carter Kelley had two hits and batted in three runs to lead North Platte.

Gus Kreber and Tyler Tobey teamed up for the shutout. Kreber threw the first four innings, while Tobey threw the second.

The Nationals led 10-0 in game two until the game was unexpectedly called off by the umpires in the fourth inning.

Next, North Platte will travel to Kearney for a doubleheader on Thursday.
