Classic and customized cars and trucks started arriving in North Platte Friday for the Col. Cody Car Club’s 24th annual Cruise, Show and Shine.

The festival begins Friday with registration from 3-8 p.m. at the Best Western Hotel.

A kick-off party and barbeque will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the D & N Event Center.

On Saturday, more than 100 vehicles will be on display from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at a show and shine downtown on Dewey St.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Saturday at the D&N Event Center, along with raffles, games and fun at the Best Western Hotel.

A church service will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday at the D&N Event Center, followed by awards and major door prizes.

A 1932 Ford Roadster will be raffled at the car show Saturday, built by the students of Auto Body & Automotive Technology Dept. of North Platte Community College.

The car was developed through a partnership with Speedway Motors in Lincoln and was built completely from Speedway parts.

The drawing is to be held at 3 p.m. Raffle tickets can be purchased before the drawing.
