Allene R. Morse, 90, of North Platte was welcomed into Heaven on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.
She was born in North Platte on Feb. 20, 1929 to Roy and Irene Fisher. She married Ray Morse on March 4, 1950.
She loved North Platte so much that she had no desire to live anywhere else. She was proud of the fact that she worked at the North Platte Canteen during World War II and spoke of it often. She loved talking about the Depot, the Golden Spike, and “the largest railyards in the world”.
She visited Cody Park often and enjoyed the animals and the ice cream.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Doug) Reifschneider of Marietta, Ga.; grandson, Jason (Angie) Hill of Belton, Mo.; granddaughter, Dana (Walt) Morgan of Boulder, Colo.; great grandchildren, Adam Brubaker and Braeden Hill of Belton; Lydia and Gus Morgan of Boulder; and other family.
Allene was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings; and husband, Ray.
Graveside services will be on Monday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Douglas A. Delp officiating.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 7 from 1-3 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in care of arrangements. The family will have a celebration of her life in September at Cody Park.
Memorials may be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be shared at carpentermemorial.com.
