The worst of the storm passed through North Platte Saturday, dropping just a few inches of snow, the National Weather Service in North Platte said.

Roads and streets became slushy and slick and became crusty during the night as temperatures dropped just below freezing.

About 0.60 of an inch of precipitation fell Friday and Saturday, the weather service said, accompanied by 15-20 mph winds that gusted up to 30 mph.

Light snow fell at times Sunday.

Heavy snow also failed to materialize as forecast in northern Nebraska. Valentine reported just over 3 inches of snow at 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Next week will be cold, with high temperatures in the upper 20s and low temps around 10-15 degrees, forecasters said Sunday.
