Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested two men and seized 526 pounds of high-grade marijuana Wednesday following a traffic stop on I-80 near Lincoln.

The drugs carried as estimated street value of $1.5 million.

The stop occurred just after 11, when a trooper saw their eastbound truck with improper lighting fail to signal, NSP spokesman Cody Thomas said.

The stop was near mile marker 370, about 30 miles west of Lincoln. Thomas said an NSP drug detection dog indicated the odor of a controlled substance from the rear of the truck.

Troopers searched the truck and found 17 boxes of high-grade marijuana with a total weight of 526.2 pounds.

Troopers arrested Robert P. Rahon, 27, of Sacramento, Calif. and Felice M. Giorgetti, 38, of Huntington Beach, Calif. The men are charged with possession with intent to deliver and no drug tax stamp.

Rahon and Giorgetti were taken to the Seward County jail.
