The North Platte Trails Network is selling raffle tickets for a quilt made by Patty Evans.

Patty was an active member of the trails committee and advocate for North Platte before she passed away in July 2016, said one of the organizers, Courtney Fegter of the Lincoln County Visitor’s Bureau.

Evans owned and operated the bicycle shop, Cycle Sport, in North Platte. She also loved to quilt, but never got to finish her last quilt.

Thanks to Richard Darling, the quilt was finished in 2017 and it is set to be raffled after the James O’Rourke Triathlon on April 29.

Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the community from Jan. 8-April 29.

Proceeds will support trail connections in North Platte. The winner does not need to be present to win, Fegter said.

The quilt will be shown:

Jan. 8-22: Prairie Arts Center

Jan. 23-29: North Platte Public Library

Jan. 30-Feb. 12: Great Western Bank

Feb. 13-26: Rockabilly Roasters
