The North Platte High wrestling team is trying to “revamp” the program and move the kids in a different level of involvement in the community.

They plan to get out to more places to donate their time and be more involved, organizers say.

The team went to Linden Court on Sunday. About 20 team members, including the team managers and Coach Dale Hall, visited and played cards with residents.

On Monday, the team hosted a “meet and greet” with youth wrestlers and anyone else who wanted to attend. They signed posters for the visitors and mingled with them.

It was the start of a busy week for the wrestlers. They have a home dual against Kearney on Thursday. The next day, they start a two-day tournament in Casper, Wyo.

When they return, they plan to visit Linden Court again Sunday and spend more time with the residents.
