As a former trustee of the village of Sutherland, I dealt with some very controversial issues and made some very tough decisions during the eight years that I served. I am also a lifelong Sutherland citizen, and at no time have I ever seen actions by the village board cause more division within the community than has happened since the election of John Lutz and Ray Ravenscroft.
The distribution of the personal information of the citizens who signed the recall petitions is an example of their attempts to further divide the community and intimidate the voters, as well as a complete disregard for the privacy and safety of their constituents. Is anyone that naive to wonder who was behind this?
