The North Platte First National Bank Seniors only had one hit Tuesday in their 5-0 loss to Kearney at Memorial Field.
With the loss, the Seniors are 8-11 on the year.
The first three innings were scoreless as pitchers Jake Skala of Kearney and North Platte’s Peyton Vieyra dueled it out.
But Kearney scored two runs each in the fourth and fifth innings before finishing with one in the sixth and North Platte couldn’t answer back against Skala.
The North Platte Juniors (14-9) lost another low-scoring game to Kearney Tuesday with their score being 3-1.
Kearney took the lead in the second inning by scoring two runs.
North Platte got on the board in the third. But Kearney scored again in the fourth with what was the last run.
Before the game, Kearney also defeated the Juniors 9-6 to finish a game that was cut short on May 28 when Kearney had a 5-4 lead in the middle of the fifth inning when a thunderstorm ended the action.
Both the Juniors and Seniors will host Gering, Wednesday.
