Karen  S.  Harwick
     Karen S. Harwick, 72, of Dickens departed her life on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Great Plains Health. She was born on March 12, 1945 in Dickens to Frank and Goldie (Walker) Rogers.
     Karen attended high school at the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis.
     On April 15, 1961, she was united in marriage to Jack K. Harwick.
     Karen enjoyed ranching for many years.
     Karen is survived by her children, Stacy Burgess of Huntington Beach, Calif. and Shelly (Rick) Kerchal of Dickens; granddaughters, MacKenzie (Will) Frizzel, Courtney (Daniel) Castle, Whitney (fiancÚ, Michael Moran) Burgess, and Paige (fiancÚ, Wade Hawkinson) Kerchal; great granddaughters, Abby and Paisley; brother-in-law, Jim (ZoeAnn) Harwick of Greeley, Colo.; and other family.
     Karen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; mother-in-law, Ardis Harwick; father-in-law, Bud Harwick; and sister-in-law, Jolene Harwick.
     Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at Willow Creek Cemetery south of Dickens with Pastors Jean Miller and Shannon Williams officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
