Doris  H.  Bayne
     Doris H. Bayne, 87, of Broken Bow, passed away at her home with family at her bedside Feb. 15. She was born Nov. 28, 1925 south of Maxwell to Harry and Eva (Towers) Cohn.
     She Graduated from North Platte High School in 1943. She worked at W.J. O''Connor dime store until she married Harold Bayne Feb. 26, 1947.
     They lived in North Platte for a time, later moving to Kearney, then to Broken Bow. To this union, seven children were born. A daughter, Connie, died in infancy and a son, Calvin, died in 1999.
     Surviving her was her husband, Harold “Heavy,” sons Terry (Thoy), Roger, Harold Dave (Dercilla), Kevin (Lori) and daughter, Vicki (Allan) Dorsey; Calvin''s widow, Noi. Also surviving her are nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, Lee (Laurel), one brother-in-law, Casey Jackson, two sister-in-laws, Mary Jane Cohn and Lois Cohn plus numerous nieces and nephews.
     Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
     Among her interests were square dancing, music and she was a past member of Does of Broken Bow.
     Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date in Kearney.
