Virginia R. Reyes, 74, of Ft. Worth, Texas, formerly of Hershey, passed away Feb. 7. She was born Jan. 2, 1939 and raised in Hershey where she graduated high school in 1956. Virginia loved to cook, travel, find collectables, yard sale and above all she loved her family. She is survived by five sons, Mark Abbott of Coppell, Texas, Eric Abbott of Lawton, Okla., Phillip Abbott of Ft. Worth, Christopher Abbott of Plano, Texas and Corey Abbott of Butler, Pa.; grandchildren, Nicholas Abbott of Orlando, Fla., Chase Walther of Ft. Benning, Ga. and Courtney Abbott of Watauga, Texas; sister Isabelle Soto; brothers, Gilbert and Raul (Carol) Hernandez all of Hershey, Anthony (Deb) of Omaha and Michael ( Cindy) of Hastings; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ned A. and Adela Hernandez; brother, Rudy Ray Hernandez; sister-in-law, Kathy Hernandez; nephew, Rudy Rae Hernandez; and niece, Sarah Christine Hernandez-Nida all of Hershey. Donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 at Adams & Swanson''s Funeral Home with Rev. James Novakowski officiating and an inurnment of her ashes to follow at North Platte Cemetery. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
