Rail Days events, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 15-17:

Friday, Sept. 15 

Model Train & Hobby Show - Parkade Plaza downtown. Old Alco building. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. $1 per person.  

Cody Park Train Display tours – 10 a.m.-7 p.m. No charge. 

Three-man golf scramble at River's Edge. 1 p.m. $50 per person.

Golden Spike Tower Tours – 9 a.m.-11 p.m. $5 per person, free for Union Pacific employees and families.

 

Pal's Brewery - Band and beers with the country/rock group, "The Brett Alan Band" at 5:30-9:30 p.m. $5 cover, bring a lawn chair.

 


Bailey Yard tours -- Buses will load for at the east side of the swimming pool in Cody Park.

Parking is available across the street on the west side of U.S. Highway 83. Shuttles will take you to festival and loading zone.

In addition to the tour of Bailey Yard, each bus tour will offer a stop at the Golden Spike Tower.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Additional admission is required for those wishing to go up to the 7th and 8th-floor observation deck. Additional shuttles will arrive at the Golden Spike Tower every 30 minutes, to return guests to Cody Park where Family Fun Day events take place.

Please bring your printed ticket or ID to the loading area at Cody Park and arrive no later than 10 minutes before departure time. The ticket is only valid for the time as indicated. Should you miss your time, a standby line will be offered, but there are no guarantees for tours.


Saturday, Sept. 16

“All you can eat” pancake feed. Lincoln County Historical Museum. 7:30-11 a.m. $7 per person, $4 ages 6-11, free if under 5.

Golden Spike Tower Tours – 9 a.m.-11 p.m. $5 per person, free for all Union Pacific employees and families. ID required.

SOLD OUT - Operation Lifesaver passenger train rides. 9 and 11 a.m., 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. North Platte to Maxwell. Departs from Front street downtown. No charge but advance ticket required.

Dedication to Military, Law Enforcement & first responders at Cody Park. 10:30 a.m. No charge.

UP Displays & Demonstrations at Cody Park. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. No charge.

Concessions and vendors at Cody Park. 11 a.m.-6 p.m. No charge.   

North Platte Jaycees Bingo at Cody Park Picnic Shelter. 1-6 p.m. 50 cents per card

North Platte Retiree Tent at Cody Park. 11 a.m.-6 p.m. No charge.

Ice Cream social at Cody Park Concessions. 2-4 p.m. No charge.  

Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser with Country music artist Chris Gill. Cody Park - 4-6 p.m.

Movie in the Park - An American Tail.

North Platte Hellcats Roller Derby Mixer. D & N Event Center - 7:30 p.m. $10/adults, $5 ages 7-12, 6 & under free

 

Sunday, Sept. 17

Heard there is going to be security at the dunk tank to protect those two mentioned. Don't know if it's true but wouldn't doubt it.
