City’s three largest employers to host hiring fairTell North Platte what you think

The North Platte Area Chamber and Development Corporation is partnering with North Platte’s three largest employers to host a hiring fair from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 at Wild Bill’s Wings and Bowling, 1100 S. Jeffers in North Platte.

The employers are Great Plains Health, Union Pacific Railroad, and Wal-Mart Distribution. Together they have 300 open positions.

Event organizers hope to draw attendees from throughout the region. Attendees can come any time during the eight hours to apply. Representatives will be available to answer questions and set up interviews.

“These are excellent career jobs with good wages and benefits,” said Gary Person, North Platte Area Chamber and Development Corporation president. "When it comes to economic development and growing our economy, our first priority is to take care of local employers who have had a significant impact on our community and want to continue to invest and grow their work force in the North Platte region.”

Those wishing to review opportunities before the hiring event can find links to the three employer career sites on the Chamber’s website www.nparea.com.

For more information, contact Person or Economic Development Vice President Megan McGown at the Chamber Development Office at (308) 532-4966 or email gary@nparea.com or megan@nparea.com
