The Philip and Willow St. intersection closed on Tuesday, July 25 for reconstruction, and will remain closed for about six weeks, the city engineering department announced.

The contractor, Steele’s Roofing & Construction, will remove and replace paving, storm sewer, water valves, relocate the traffic signals and install ADA ramps at the sidewalk curbs, city officials said.

The intersection will be closed to all traffic for the six-week project. Alternate routes will be required and detour routes will be marked, spokeswoman Geni Karre said.

Please use caution around the construction area and follow flagger instructions and traffic control signs.

“The North Platte Engineering Department would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation in making this a safe and expedient project,” Karre said.
