Golf scramble to benefit Law Officers memorial driveTell North Platte what you think

On Saturday, Aug. 12, the Lincoln County Law Enforcement Memorial Inc. board of directors will host a four-person golf scramble.

The tournament will be held at the Lake Maloney Golf Course with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

There will be cash flight prizes, flag prizes, door prizes and mulligans available. There will also be a silent auction for some items.

Bill Summers Ford has graciously agreed to sponsor the tournament and will provide a prize for a hole-in-one on one of the par 3 holes.

The cost for this tournament is $60 per person (carts not included) and a meal is provided afterwards.

There will be a cap of 36 teams, organizers said. Sign up by Aug. 5.Call Lake Maloney Golf Course at 308-532-9998 to enter a team and reserve a cart.

Proceeds will help erect a permanent monument to honor law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives in the line of duty serving the citizens in the Lincoln County area.
