Mail: VFW Post continues, not closingTell North Platte what you think

Popular rumor in North Platte is that the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1504 is closing in June.

I, as a member of this post, want to inform the community that we are alive and well.

Last night, (Sunday, April 30) at the monthly meeting, officers were duly elected and installed. Many of us who have been members for years are happy that this happened. As a past Senior Vice Commander, District Commander and Department Commander from this post I am very happy.

We hope that this post will make some necessary improvements and flourish again. So the rumors can stop.

We will continue to provide services for veterans and others in this community for years.

The Memorial Day Services, Veterans Day Bean Feed and annual Easter Egg Hunt by the Auxiliary will continue. We ask that all members of Veterans organizations come out and visit.
