• NP Art & Gift Gallery (516 N. Dewey) - North Platte Art Guild and Platter Painters Art Club shows opens April 5. Reception Saturday, April 8 2-5 p.m. Gallery is open 11a.m.–5 p.m. Tues.-Sat.

• Sandhills Convention Center (2102 S. Jeffers St.) - Souper Bowl cook-off & feed, proceeds for Habitat for Humanity. Over 100 bowls will be auctioned off. 5-7:30 p.m.

• St. Patrick's Parish Hall (4th & Chestnut) - Community Fish Dinner. $7, kid's menu $3. Desserts by the Catholic Daughters. 5:30–7 p.m.

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W. State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why. 2nd night. 7:30 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – DJ Loco,  9 p.m.-close.


Saturday, April 8

• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - Spring Craft Show & Easter Bunny, 10 am–9 pm.

• Cody Park Concessions & rides (1601 N Jeffers) -  11 a.m.–10 p.m.

• Iron Horse Park (2901 S. Jeffers.) - CASA Super Hero 5K & mile. Hot dogs & kids carnival afterwards. 5–7 p.m.

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why. Final night. 7:30 p.m.

• D&N Event Center (501 E. Walker Rd) – Huge model train show, first day. 9-5. $4 adult, $1 kids under 12 (under 5 free with paid adult).

• Lincoln County Raceway (5105 West Highway 30) -- Stockcar racing, season opener. Gates open 4 p.m. Hot Laps 5:30 p.m. Race 6:30 p.m. $10. Kids 6-12 $5. Age 5 and under free. Pit pass $25.


Sunday, April 9

• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - Spring Craft Show & Easter Bunny, Noon-6 p.m.

• Sutherland Legion Hall (130 S. Maple St.) - Breakfast. Donation minimum $6 adults & kids 6 and above, kids 5 and under free. Everyone invited. 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

• Cody Park Concessions & rides (1601 N Jeffers) - 11 a.m.–10 p.m.

 • D&N Event Center (501 E. Walker Rd) – 23rd annual model train show continues. More than 80 vendors. 10-4, $4 adult. $1 children under 12 (under 5 free with paid adult).

• Lincoln Co. Fairgrounds (5015 Rodeo Rd) - Center Ring Circus, Two shows, 5 p.m. & 7 p.m.


Wednesday, April 12


• Lincoln Co. Fairgrounds (5015 Rodeo Rd) - Center Ring Circus, Two shows 5 p.m. & 7 p.m.

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) – Lou Krouse, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo. 6:45 p.m.

• McDonald-Belton Theater (601 W State Farm Rd, community college) - Daniel Eachus Performance, Rising young star in the comedy world. 7 – 8 p.m.


Thursday, April 13

• N. P. Rec Center (1300 McDonald Rd) - Eggstravaganza, children not yet in school are invited, 1 p.m. sharp. No charge. On south lawn or in the gym in bad weather. Bring a basket.

• Platte River Mall (1000 S. Dewey) - Easter Bunny, 5- 8 p.m.

 North Platte Public Library (120 W. 4th St) - Poetry From the Plains with Twyla Hansen, noon – 2 p.m.


Friday, April 14

• North Platte Area Children's Museum (314 N. Jeffers) - Easter Egg Hunt, children's games & stories. Easter Bunny. Starts1 p.m.

• Espresso Shop (near Fifth and Dewey downtown) – Open Mic Nite. Freewill donation. Refreshments on sale. 7-9:30 p.m.

• Kelsey’s (219 Rodeo Rd.) – Karaoke night. Drink specials.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – DJ Loco, every Friday night. 9 p.m.-close.

 

Saturday, April 15

• Cody Park Concessions & rides (1601 N Jeffers St) - 11 a.m.–10 p.m.

• North Platte Cody Park (1601 N. Jeffers St.) - Easter Egg Hunt, any child ages 0-9 with a special section for children with special needs on the tennis courts. Grand prizes for ages 4-9. Children 0-3 all receive a prize. 2 p.m.
