NP Library (120 W. 4th St.) -150 NE Photo Exhibit -  photographs of homesteaders, town, prairiescapes & railroad. Artifacts of 1867 from the Lincoln County Historical Museum, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Mon-Sat, thru March.

Prairie Arts Center (416 S Jeffers St) - Selections from the permanent collection of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center in Nebraska City featuring works that demonstrate what can happen to the artistic process when artists change their location to Nebraska. 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Tues-Sat.

NP Art & Gift Gallery (516 N. Dewey) - High School art show, sponsored by the NPHS Art Club. Thru March. 11a.m. –5 p.m. Tues.-Sat.

Maranatha Bible Camp (16800 E. Maranatha Rd.) – Community Skating, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday nights.

• NP Library (120 W. 4th St.) - David Seay performs upbeat folk music & stories from when Nebraska became a state in 1867. Noon -2 p.m.

• Espresso Shop (419 N. Dewey St) – Open Mic Nite. Tribute to Chuck Berry. Freewill donation. Refreshments on sale. 7-9:30 p.m. $2 donation appreciated.

• Kelsey’s (219 Rodeo Rd.) – Karaoke night. 8 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – DJ Loco, every Friday night. 9 p.m.-close.

 

Saturday, March 25

• Espresso Shop (419 N. Dewey St) – Four Shillings Short in concert. Celtic, folk & world music. Donation $5-10. Kids free. Starts 7 p.m.

• D & N Event Center (501 E. Walker Rd) - St. Patty’s Beatdown mixed martial arts fight. 4 pro fights plus local fighters, $20 admission, $60 second row ringside. Table for 10, $450. Doors open 6 p.m.

 

Sunday March 26

• Hershey Public School Cafeteria (301 Lincoln Ave) - Hershey Volunteer Fire Dept. Spaghetti Feed, Fundraiser, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

 

Wednesday, March 29

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) - Dance to Top Shelf Country, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo. 6:45 p.m.

 

Saturday, April 1

• Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park - Tank Race to Cody Park, provided by Dusty Trails. Starts 2 p.m. 4–6 person teams, $120 per team entry fee. Post party at Wild Bill's.

 

Sunday, April 2

• Neville Center (301 E. 5th St.) - Heartland Singers: Celebrating 30 years. No charge, donations accepted at door. 3 p.m.

 

Wednesday, April 5

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why. Student play. $10 adults, $5 students & senior citizens, 7:30 p.m.

 

Thursday, April 6

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why. Student play.  $10 adults. $5 students & senior citizens, 7:30 p.m.

 

Friday, April 7

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why continues. 7:30 p.m.

• Espresso Shop (419 N. Dewey) – Open Mic Nite. Freewill donation. Refreshments on sale. $2 donation suggested. 7-9:30 p.m.

 

Saturday, April 8

• North Platte Community College Theater (601 W State Farm Rd) – The How & the Why final performance, 7:30.

• D&N Event Center (501 E. Walker Rd) – 23rd annual model train show. 9-5 Saturday. $4 per adult, $1 for children under 12 (under 5 free with paid adult).

• Lincoln County Raceway (5105 West Highway 30) -- IMCA Modified Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, Sport Mods, Sport Compacts. Season opener. Gates open at 4 p.m. Hot Laps at 5:30 p.m. Green Flag drops at 6:30 p.m. Admission $10; Kids (6-12) $5; Kids (5 and under) free; Pit pass $25.
