Four Shillings Short, an independent folk band, will perform Saturday, March 25 from 7-9 p.m. at the Espresso Shop downtown.

The popular husband/wife duo of Aodh Og O’Tuama from Cork, Ireland and Christy Martin from California will perform traditional and original music from the Celtic lands, medieval and renaissance Europe, India and the Americas.

Admission is by freewill donation.

The duo play an array of instruments including hammered and mountain dulcimer, mandolin, mandola, bouzouki, tinwhistles, recorders, medieval and renaissance woodwinds, North Indian Sitar, charango, bowed psaltery, banjo, bodhran, guitar, percussion, vocals and even a Krumhorn.

The folk-artists have toured in the U.S. and Ireland since 1997 and perform 150 concerts a year, and have met rousing enthusiasm from North Platte audiences in prior appearances at the Espresso Shop.

Arrive early for your choice of seats.
