A woman who overcame two tragedies to find peace, purpose and happiness will speak April 11 in North Platte.

Allison Massari’s presentation is part of the Town Hall Lecture Series. It is co-sponsored by Great Plains Health. The talk will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the North Platte Community Playhouse.

Massari has a unique history. In 1998, she survived a 60 mile-per-hour car crash, during which she was trapped, burned alive and conscious the entire time. Three years later, Massari was hit again, sustaining a closed-head brain injury.

She credits her determination and love from family and friends for her full recovery and views her experiences as tremendous gifts that allowed her to find strength, take charge of her beliefs and live life by her own rules.

Her story is more than just one of survival. It is one of resilience, courage and the rigorous pursuit of hope. It is a story of collaboration among teams of medical personnel and how their kindness, determination and compassion changed her life and built a foundation for healing.

Her experiences are featured in the documentary, ReSolve, acclaimed for its powerful message and focus on solutions for working through post-traumatic stress and overcoming challenges.

Massari has been voted as the “No.1 Rising Star in Speaking” by the National Speakers Association and been hailed as one of the Top 10 best motivational speakers in the U.S. by “Meetings & Conventions” magazine.

Admission to her presentation in North Platte is available through a lecture series membership.

Memberships can be purchased at the door, by calling Betty Guynan at (308) 530-8448 or visiting http://www.nptownhall.com.

The presentation will be followed by a luncheon at the Quality Inn and Suites, featuring a question and answer session with Massari.

All luncheon attendees must be season ticket holders. The cost of the meal is $15.50. Reservations must be received by April 4.
