Construction to begin next week on Willow St. Tell North Platte what you think

Construction is slated to begin Monday (March 13) on an overlay of Willow Street from “B” Street north to Rodeo Road.

Barne’s Construction will do the work, the city engineering department said Wednesday. Barne’s worked on several city streets – including Buffalo Bill Ave. – last summer.

Concrete will be repaired and handicapped accessible ramps installed at the Willow intersections, which will require the closure of some streets east and west of Willow for several days, the announcement said.

Throughout the project, delays and lane closures should be expected. Alternate routes are recommended.

Please use caution around the construction area and follow flagger instructions and traffic control signs. Traffic control signs in a work zone are for the safety of the motorist as well as the construction workers so please follow the posted signage.

The North Platte Engineering Department thanks the public in advance for cooperation in making this a safe and expedient project.
