Art & Gift Gallery (516 N. Dewey downtown) -- The February show is Flatrock Features - artistic tributes to our home town. Opens on Feb. 9. 10-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays.

• Sandhills Convention Center (2102 S Jeffers) - Buffalo Bill Birthday Bash, Costume up for Comics Con, reception at 6 p.m. in the Loup Ballroom, Party 8 p.m. Dance to the Kris Lager Band. Nebraskaland Days fundraiser.

• Holiday Inn Express (300 Holiday Frontage Rd.) – Guardians of the Children’s Chili Cook Off, $5 donation per person tasting/voting, 50/50 raffle, silent auction. 11-2 p.m. All proceeds go to the Little Guardians Program.

• Prairie Arts Center (416 S Jeffers) – Gallery talk, photography by Martin Mora. 11-1 p.m. No charge.

 

Sunday, Feb. 26

• Senior Center (900 E. 10th) – Bingo, Early Bird 6:30 p.m. Regular bingo at 7 p.m.

• St. Patrick's High School (500 S. Silber Ave) - Irish Fest, family fun day. Bake sale, silent auction, raffle, games, prizes, Fun Jumpz, face painting. Dinner noon -2:30 pm, $6. Game tickets $0.25 each. Proceeds benefit North Platte Catholic Schools.

 

Monday, Feb. 27

• NP Library (120 W. 4th) – Make It Monday, Free craft project, working with clay, open to all ages. 4-6 p.m.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 28

• Kelsey’s (219 Rodeo Rd.) – Mardi Gras, drink specials, party favors all day party.

 

Wednesday, March 1

• 21 Dance Club, Senior Center (900 E. 10th) - Dance to Ray Mullen, 7-9:30 p.m. Open to public. Bring finger food, $5.

• VFW (2100 E 4th) - Bingo. 6:45 p.m.

 

Thursday, March 2

• North Platte Public Library (120 W. 4th St.) – “North Platte History – Our Humble Beginnings” by Library Director Cecelia Lawrence and IT Manager Sara Aden. A review of explorers, the geographic characteristics of Lincoln County, Native American tribes; the Oregon and Mormon Trails; military base and Fort McPherson; the railroad’s arrival; the first three pioneers and businessmen. Noon – 1 p.m. Seat reservations by calling the library at 535-8036, ext. 3310. 

Friday, March 3

• NPHS (1220 W. 2nd) - Music Man.  A traveling con man arrives in River City, convinces the locals to start a band & buy equipment from him, planning to leave as soon as he gets the money. $12 adults & $6 students, 7 p.m.

 

Saturday, March 4

• The Bar (Hershey) - Live music by Little Joe McCarthy with Mike McCracken on Dobro. 9 p.m. 

• Wild Bills Wings and Bowling (1100 S Jeffers St) - Putt-N-Crawl, NP Jaycees & Whitetail Screen Print present the 4th annual putt-putt bar crawl. Proceeds go to Deborah's Legacy. Noon - 6 p.m.

• Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park (2921 Scouts Rest Ranch Rd) - Deadwood Saloon Murder Mystery. Mystery & mayhem in the Wild West. Advance tickets are $35 or $45 at the door, includes dinner. 6:30–9:30 p.m. Proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity.
