A report from the public relations committee highlighted activities to recognize and celebrate national Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 29-Feb. 3.

Activities are planned for Holy Spirit and St. Patrick’s parishes, as well as in the schools during that week.

Mayor Dwight Livingston will deliver a proclamation to open the school assembly on Jan. 30.

The PR committee also noted the date for an information/enrollment night at McDaid Elementary – Feb. 7.

Endowment Director Wendy Dodson reported that the Forward in Faith campaign has collected $2,005,795.85 to date.

There are 18 months remaining in the campaign to surpass a goal of $2.5 million in pledges.

Also, Supt. Kevin Dodson led a preliminary discussion concerning the 2017-18 school year budget and tuition rates.

The board will set tuition rates for next school year at the February meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the St. Patrick’s high school library.
