Sylvan Learning opens center in Ogallala Tell North Platte what you think

This month, a new Sylvan Learning Center satellite office opened in Ogallala at the St. Paul Lutheran School.

Sylvan Owner Deb Smith of North Platte said parents have been asking about our tutoring services in Keith County and it seemed like a perfect fit to open this satellite office.

“It makes it easier for families west of North Platte to receive these services without having to drive a long distance," Smith said.

Smith operates Sylvan Learning in North Platte.

Sylvan offers tutoring services in math, reading and writing, as well as homework and study skills and STEM classes (Science, technology, engineering and math).

STEM classes offer robotics, engineering, and computer coding classes.

Smith says "Sylvan is amazing because each student receives personalized tutoring and learning on I pads for an engaging experience. That means each student learns at their own level.”

Sherry Erlewine, who previously taught at St. Paul, is leading the instruction at the satellite office in Ogallala.

For more info on Sylvan programs in the Ogallala area, contact the North Platte office at 308-532-4441.
