Robert Fleming, 32, of Chadron, was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for receipt and distribution of child pornography. After Fleming gets out of prison, he will be required to serve the rest of his life under supervision.
U.S. Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced the sentencing.
Gilg said on Nov. 22, 2008, the Chadron Police Department executed a search warrant at Fleming’s homw in Chadron. The police then asked the FBI to help conducting forensic examinations of the computer and other storage media to determine if there was child pornography on the items.
The FBI found 78 videos and 4,000 pornographic images depicting child pornography, including images of prepubescent minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, Gilg said.
Fleming definitely received the computer images from July 27, 2006 to Nov. 22, 2008, and maybe for a longer period of time, Gilg said.
