Another eastbound vehicle carrying a large amount of pot was nabbed Friday on Nebraska's Interstate 80. A west central California man is in jail on and drug charges as well as an outstanding warrant after a trooper made a traffic stop near the Lincoln airport. Just before 2:30 a.m. in the early morning, an eastbound 2000 Ford pickup was stopped for traveling too close on I-80, Nebraska State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins said. A check of the driver’s license information revealed the driver was wanted on a warrant for drug possession in Sonoma County, Calif. A search of the pickup turned up 40 packages of marijuana weighing a total of 88.1 pounds in two tool boxes in the bed of the pickup. An unmarked bottle containing hydrocodone tablets was also found in the cab. The drugs were seized. The driver and lone occupant of the pickup, Shane Barrett, 41, of Willits, Calif., was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on the drug charges, Collins said.
