A rundown of entertainment in North Platte and Lincoln County. The Lincoln County Fair is underway. Friday, July 27 • Depot Restaurant (520 N. Jeffers) - Blue Swing plays acoustic jazz and swing music. 6-8 p.m. • Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $4 per game. • Lincoln County Fairgrounds (W. Rodeo Road) Stoney LaRue in concert with guest Nashville Reject. LaRue is a national recording artist playing “Red Dirt” country music. $20.
Saturday, July 28 • Lakehouse (Lake Maloney inlet) Hullabaloo music festival, noon-midnight. Five bands. Rascal at noon 12-2. Sunset Alley at 2 p.m. Fierce Bad Rabbit at 4 p.m. Funk Trek at 6 p.m. Mama Lenny & the Remedy at 8 p.m. Kris Lager Band 10 p.m. $10 admission. $15 with primitive campsite. $25 power campsite. www.hullabaloomusicfestival.co • A to Z Books (507 N. Wednesday, Aug. 1 • Gazebo in Centennial Park – Scrabble Scramble, ride your bike to six stops to pick up six pieces to play for prize. Registration 7:30 a.m. Starts 8 a.m. Adults: $15; 18 and under: free. • Pop Corner (Westfield Shopping Plaza) – Live piano and songs by Shermie Wiehe. 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. • Cody Park (in the shelter) - The String Beans, a children's band, will perform at a carnival/fundraiser for the Relay for Life. Carnival from 3-6 p.m. with jumping booths, games, prizes, balloon animals, face painting, more. Tickets 25 cents each or 5 for $1. String Beans perform at 3 p.m. • VFW Post 1504 (2100 E. Fourth) – bingo, total of 24 games, starts at 6:45 p.m. • North Platte Senior Center (900 E. Tenth) – the Golden Classics, a four-piece combo, plays a dance. 7-10 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 2 • Public Library (120 W. Fourth) – Public presentation about the life of Thomas Jefferson Fitzpatrick and his extreme obsession with books. Noon-1 p.m. Free admission. • Ft. Cody Trading Post (near I-80 & US 83) - live music by Andi Foster, Big Dan and the Jelly Stingers and the Hatchbacks. 6-9 p.m. Family friendly. $5 adults. Food and refreshments available or bring your own but you can't carry in alcohol.
Friday, Aug. 3 • Cedar Bowl (1100 S. Jeffers) – Cosmic bowling under black lights. 8-11 p.m. $4 per game. • Brady Days community celebration begins (3-day celebration) at 5:30 p.m. with a kids and pets parade and later – hot dog eating contest, talent show, free movie, outdoor dance. • Lakehouse (Lake Maloney inlet) - 2nd annual Divastock, bike ride and roast against violence. Two day festival. Live music, children's games, raffles, dunk tank, etc. Gates open at 5 p.m. Music by Rascal 7-8 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 4 • Brady Days community celebration continues all day. Young country music singer Alexa Whipple performs at 7 p.m. in the school gym. The band Innocent Mischief plays the fireman's dance from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. No minors. $8 advance, $9 at door. • Garden Glove Farmer's Market - (East 12th St.) 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Live music by Latin Jam of North Platte, plus produce, baked goods, arts and crafts for sale. • Lakehouse (Lake Maloney inlet) - 2nd day of Divastock. Gates open 9 a.m. Bug run 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Live music, 6-11 p.m. Cildren's games, raffles, dunk tank, etc. Proceeds benefit rape and domestic violence shelters. • Bethel Church (2700 W. Philip) – Singer & pianist Gordon Mote in concert. Starts 6 p.m. Tickets $15. • Lincoln County Fairgrounds – raceway action with IMCA modifieds, hobby stocks, sports mods, etc. 7-10 p.m. Adults $10, Kids 6-12 $5, 5 and under free. • Neville Center for Performing Arts (downtown, old Fox Theater) TREO in concert. Third CD release party. The Kearney group plays originals, cover songs. Bluesy, touches of reggae & country. 8 p.m. Main stage. Beer & wine available. $12.

Sunday, Aug. 26 • St. Patrick's Church (Fourth & Chestnut) - 60th annual BBQ dinner & fundraiser. Noon-3 p.m. Meal, lots of children's games. Raffle drawing for up to $1,000. Silent auction.
