There will be a Memorial Day Veteran’s program at 4 p.m. Monday at the 20th Century Veteran’s Memorial in North Platte. The memorial is at the junction of Interstate-80 and U.S. Highway 83. Lincoln County Commissioner Duane Deterding, a veteran, will speak. New memorial bricks will also be placed in the ceremony. These bricks are for the “Fallen Heroes” program. The Daughters of the American Revolution, Chapter of Sioux Lookout, purchased a brick honoring their organization. Other bricks at the site honor veterans of the American Revolution. The board of directors welcomes everyone to visit the memorial.
