Courtney R. Fetters was arrested Wednesday, charged in the theft of thousands of dollars in precious coins. Fetters was allegedly involved in the theft of $15,000 in precious coins and other items from an elderly couple in Lincoln County. Deputies have been investigating the case since March 30, according to athe Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff said investigators talked to a local coin dealer/buyer who said he purchased rare coins and rings that could have been the victim’s. Investigators seized those items and the victims identified them. Investigators confirmed that Courtney Fetters, 47, sold the coins to the buyer, the sheriff’s statement said. She was questioned at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and jailed. Fetters is charged with burglary, theft, accessory to a felony, aiding and abetting a felony, and possession and sale of stolen. The investigation continues, the sheriff's statement said.
