What a wonderful turnout for our spring blood drive at the Hershey American Legion Community Hall. Thanks to the Paul R. Martin Post 279 for allowing us to use the wonderful facility. The Hershey Community and the Hershey National Honor Society are committed to three drives per year and our summer drive is set for Thursday, July 12. The Hershey State Bank as always provides endless refreshments, advertising, and also thanks to the banks’ faithful donor, Kaye Monie, we appreciate your support. Thanks to the owners and employees of Kwik-Stop for scheduling around their busiest time to donate fresh baked pizzas over the lunch hour to feed our hungry NHS members and donors. We set a record 37 high school donors for the day and all involved were a huge factor in surpassing our drive goals. We are grateful our local school administration continues to cooperate with us to make this event happen. A special thanks to Mr. Callahan for allowing us into the classroom to educate the students on the importance of giving blood. The Western Convenience Truck Stop and Restaurant have been gracious to supply home baked cookies and we appreciate their continued sponsorship. The blood drive committee would like to welcome our latest member Alice Robinson for all her work and contributions. We look forward to seeing you at the Legion Hall in July.
