• Corn Maze at the Golden Spike Tower - weekends through Oct. 31. Friday afternoon 4:30-8 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday all day, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. open Monday-Thursday for groups by reservation only. Cost - $6 ages 4 to 6; $7 ages 6 & older.

• Bo Bo's Haunted Acres - weekends through Oct. 31. Fri-Sat 10am-10pm; Sun 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Route marked. Go west on North River Road 2.8 miles and north on North Buffalo Road for 1.3 miles. 308-534-3964. $6 admission.

• Weekend movies at the Platte River Mall include "Red"; "The Social Network", "Secretariat", "My Soul to Take 3D", "Life as We Know It" and "Jackass 3D." Schedule subject to change, see www.carmike.com/showtimes

• Alamo Bar Karaoke - 8 p.m.

• Touchdown Club - Comedy and hypnosis by female hypnotist Crimson. 9-11:45 p.m. Cover.

• Shooters - West Wind from 9 p.m. - 1a.m. $3 cover.

• Pure Freedom Purity Conference for Jr/Sr high girls at Camp Maranatha, 16800 East Maranatha Road Maxwell. For more information call 308-582-4513.

• Parkade Plaza, downtown - North Platte Farmers Market, 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Shooters - Jason Bolander and the Stragglers from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. $15.

• A to Z Books - Open Mic Nite, 7-10 p.m. All ages and stages of performers, including the accomplished. Casual atmosphere, no cover.

• The Pocket - Karaoke, starts at 7 p.m.


Sunday, Oct. 24

• North Platte High School Performing Arts Center - 2 p.m. Nebraska Pride Chorus performs annual concert, with guests Storm Front, international award winning barbershop quartet and Chordial Celebrations. Tickets $10 advance (Sherry, 532-2149), $12 at door. $5 students. Kids under 5 free.

• VFW - Dance to Joe James, Phil Merrill, Ray Mullen and Delm O’Dean. 7 p.m. Free will donation.


Thursday, Oct. 28

• Lincoln County Historical Museum Village - Spirit Hunting in a Ghost Town. Admission is $5 for ages 10 and up and free for children under ten. 6-10 p.m. Food and spooky fun.

• North Platte Senior Center (901 E. 10th) - Old Time Gospel music by Joe James and the Gospel Music Company. 7 p.m. Free will donation.


Friday, Oct. 29

• Neville Center downtown - Elvis impersonator Joseph Hall (from Branson, Mo.) 8 p.m. Admission $20.

• Sutherland school - Halloween Walk, trick-or-treat at this free school event from 5-6 p.m.

• Alamo Bar Karaoke - 8 p.m.

• Touchdown Club - hypnotist Crimson performs. 9 p.m. Cover.

• Shooters - The Innocence from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. $3 cover.

• Lincoln County Historical Museum Village - Spirit Hunting in a Ghost Town. Admission is $5 for ages ten and up and free for children under ten. 6-10 p.m.


Saturday, Oct. 30

• Parkade Plaza downtown - North Platte Farmers Market, 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

• Downtown North Platte - Children's Halloween walk. 1-3 p.m.

• Lincoln County Historical Museum Village - Spirit Hunting in Ghost Town continues. $5 for ages 10 and up. 6-10 p.m.

• Eagles Club - Halloween party/dance starts at 8 p.m. Music by the Gary Phipps Show. Open to public, bring finger food.

• Neville Center for the Performing Arts (downtown) - Many Moccasins, Native American Dance Troupe, will perform at 3 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $15 at the door or by membership in community concert association.

• Halloween Party at Kelsey's - Dirty Finger will perform beginning around 9 p.m. Cover.


Sunday, Oct. 31

• Lincoln County Historical Museum Village - Spirit Hunting in a Ghost Town. Admission is $5 for ages ten and up and free for children under ten. 6-10 p.m.

• Performing Arts Center at North Platte High School - The Sandhills Symphony Orchestra will perform for free from 3-5 p.m.

• Moose Lodge - jam session & bake sale. Starts 2 p.m. Costumes, live music, candy trick or treats.

• Final day to check out Bo bo's haunted acres as well as the haunted corn maze at the Golden Spike Tower.
