• North Platte Public Library (120 W. 4th) – Sitting Bull Family story, a Humanities Nebraska program by Joyzelle Gingway Godfrey, noon. No charge.

• Neville Center (301 E. 5th) – Community Playhouse presents Willy Wonka, 8 p.m. General $15, ages 16 & under $8, students with I.D. $8.

• Holiday Inn Express (300 Holiday Frontage Rd) – Wine & Brew festival, variety of wines & brews, plus hors d’oeuvres. Scholarship fundraiser for local non-traditional women students at Mid-Plains Community College. Silent auction, music, & fun. 5:30–8 p.m. $25 in advance, $30 at the door.

• Espresso Shop (419 N. Dewey) – Open Mic Nite. 7-9:30 p.m. Creativity encouraged. Refreshments on sale. $2-$5 donation suggested.

• Maranatha Camp (16800 W. Maranatha Rd) – Roller skate night, $6 per person, 4 & under free. Skate sizes toddler clip-ons to men’s 13. Also, 30 ft. climbing wall, bounce castle, games, 6:30-9:30 p.m.

• Prairie Arts Center (416 N. Jeffers) – Buffalo Bill Kiwanis Victorian Masquerade Ball, an evening of music, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, casino games, auctions & prizes. $50. $95 per couple. Tickets must be purchased in advance online or from Kiwanian. Black tie event. Formal Victorian attire & masquerade mask highly encouraged. 8 p.m.-midnight.

• Legacy Dance Gymnastics (2607 Rodeo Road) – Sweetheart Shop vendor and craft fair, fundraiser to attend dance conventions. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

• D & N Event Center (501 East Walker Road) – Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Banquet. Fundraiser for scholarships and equipment, recognition of team members. Tickets: $5. $20 for five. 5:30-9:30 p.m.

• North Platte Rec Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) — Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation Agriculture Matters Race, 5-10K, fundraiser for scholarships and to reach youth in the classroom. $25 to register. Registration begins at 8 a.m., races start 9 a.m.

• Kelsey’s Place (219 W. Rodeo Rd) – Pool tournament, open to all ages and skill levels, race to two, house rules. $5 entry fee. 2-6 p.m.

• Kelsey’s Place (219 W. Rodeo Rd) – Live metal music by the bands Saphyre Rain, Goodbye Old Friend, Rift, Surveying The Damned. $5 cover, 8 p.m.
