A blood drive is going on today (Friday) from noon-6 p.m. in honor of Parker Bryant, a four-year-old boy with a rare ailment.

The drive is at the American Red Cross Donation Site, 1111 S. Cottonwood.

Bryant has been diagnosed with Henoch-Schonlein Purpua (HSP), which is causing inflammation and bleeding in his blood vessels.

He has been receiving blood and other treatments at the Children’s Hospital in Denver.

The drive is organized by the Army of Angels in North Platte.
