A benefit will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the North Platte Moose Lodge for Mollie Johns Finney, a woman who was injured in a head-on collision in February.
The fundraiser will include a bake sale, live and silent auction, lunch of beef sandwiches, beans, chips and salads. The cost is $8 a plate.
Mollie Jo has undergone three surgeries and more are planned, organizers say.
After the collision, which occurred on U.S. Highway 83 near the Dismal River, she was flown to the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a collapsed lung, broken femur and pelvic bone. Recently she has been at the Madonna Rehabilitation Center.
Mollie is a paraprofessional at Thedford Public School. Her parents are Mark and Leslie Johns of North Platte.
The fundraiser is organized by the Army of Angels. For more information or to contribute, contact Patty at 308-530-0158, or Leslie at 308-539-0409.
The Moose Lodge is at 1315 E. Fourth St.
